A word from Neil
I grew up helping my father with construction projects around the family cottage. He taught me everything I know about construction, and working with him on those projects taught me to enjoy and appreciate construction, its process and working with my hands.
My passion for construction later fuelled my interest in studying architecture. I worked in engineering for over 11 years, latterly as a senior technologist, but I always felt like there was something missing.
Woodworking has been my life-long passion, and I recently realized that I would never feel fulfilled until I committed to it full-time. There’s nothing like the smell of a freshly sanded table top; the excitement that comes from taking a 100-year-old barn board and bringing it back to life; and the pride I feel when looking at a finished piece that is always unique in its own way.
My passion, and the driving force behind my business, is to make a positive and lasting impact on peoples’ lives. For example, by creating a dining table for generations of families to share their meals around. I’m excited to dig into my new role, and I look forward to creating that next cherished piece for you!
